We’re pleased to be able to confirm the programme for our last meeting of 2012, on Friday 7th December at the Old Bridge, Huntingdon (click here for location and directions).
Our topics for the morning are:
- Avoiding Traffic Jams – No, this isn’t about improving your driving skills, improving your ability to navigate or even cope with road rage! In this session, Nicky Whiting, freelance SEO and IT consultant at Cambs Business Support, will help you to understand how effective web design and search engine optimisation can help drive potential clients to your website. She will explain terms like “metatags”, “link building” and “keyword research” and give you a number of tips and tools to take away and implement on your website. We will also (time allowing) have a quick look through a couple of websites from the audience.
- That Was The Year That Was – As it’s getting towards the end of the year, we’ve thought it would be a great opportunity for participants to reflect back over the past twelve months and celebrate the achievements that they’ve made – whether personal or professional – during 2012. We’ll discuss what success means to people, and what are the essential ingredients for a happy and successful work-life balance. Come prepared to share your own successes and blow your own trumpet!
As usual, we’ll be kicking off at 09.00 with tea and coffee on arrival and will provide seasonal refreshments throughout the morning. There will be plenty of time to meet and network with each other throughout the morning and we aim to finish at around 12.30.
Nicky Whiting has worked in the IT industry for 20 years during which time she has worked for small and large organisations across a variety of industry sectors. Her most recent roles have involved providing consultancy services to small and medium size businesses across Cambridgeshire assisting internet marketing and SEO. This has involved providing a mixture of advice and hands on support and in recent months she has also been working for a larger web developer providing SEO for large multinational corporations.
The cost for the meeting is just £19.99, to cover the costs for the event. Booking is being done through Eventbrite, click here to access.
