We’re pleased to be able to confirm the programme for our next meeting, on Friday 14th September, at the Old Bridge, Huntingdon (click here for location and directions).
Our topics for the morning are:
- An hour-long Selling Skills Workshop, run by Bill Clarke, Head Coach at Sales Coaching. This workshop will address the sales challenges that many of us have, whether it’s about planning sales calls, getting past the “gatekeepers”, creating a great first impression, or closing a sale. The workshop will be focused on your needs, so please email us at email@example.com by Monday 10th September with the topics or areas you’d like Bill to cover.
- After a coffee break, we will have a session on Action Learning, facilitated by Simon Leckie. Action learning enables people to draw on the experience of others and gain new ideas and perspectives to develop their own skills in a structured way. This one-hour workshop will cover the key principles and practice of action learning.
Bill Clarke: Bill has been in sales, sales management, company leadership and sales training for 35 years and has accumulated a wealth of sales and marketing skills and knowledge. Bill understands the challenges of small companies breaking into larger clients: in 2004 he created a new start up that grew to £7m turnover, profitable, in 3 years.
Simon Leckie: Simon’s career has encompassed operational practice, quality improvement and learning and development in a range of public sector organisations. He has worked with employers at a national level to develop Leadership Qualities Frameworks and was a member of the National Executive Board overseeing the implementation of the Police Race and Diversity Learning and development programme. Simon also worked with individual police forces to design and deliver their diversity programmes. More recently, he has designed and delivered a coaching programme in Dubai and is currently delivering a collaborative leadership programme working with organisations across the Justice and Community Safety sector in Wales. Simon is a licensed Insights Discovery profiling practitioner and a firm believer in and the power of action learning.
As usual, we’ll be kicking off at 09.00 with tea and coffee on arrival and will provide refreshments throughout the morning. There will be plenty of time to meet and network with each other throughout the morning and we aim to finish at around 12.30.
